Economy Award: Evidence of the change
For those companies who have become representatives of the economy of the region since 2005 the city of Dortmund has held an award: the Economy Award of the City of Dortmund (Dortmunder Wirtschaftspreis), launched by Dortmund's municipal department for business development and endorsed by the Sparkasse. The first prize winner of this new award was the Weckbacher GmbH.

Sponsoring: A culture of giving
The Dortmund Concert Hall for Weckbacher is a quite particular customer. Since here Weckbacher not only literally opens doors but also does so in a figurative sense. WThat is to say that Weckbacher hasn't left its commitment merely at delivering the locking system, Weckbacher is also one of the hall's sponsors. Amongst other things Weckbacher sponsored the aria vespertine featuring mezzo-soprano singer Vesselina Kasarova.

Operating range: Even beyond the borders of Germany
In 2004 Weckbacher founded its Rhein-Main office, dealing with the assignments of the the Blue Heaven hotel, the Deutsche Bank and the Messe Tower in Frankfurt. Weckbacher extended its scope further - Düsseldorf, Duisburg, Dresden, Halle, Cologne, Stuttgart. Far-reaching commitments: the German Embassies in Moscow and Abu Dhabi.
